All I need and more

This past year financially/physically has been a very trying year. Medical bills out the wazzoo along with car issues and just the costs life brings. Through it all we have never lacked in any of our needs though. We have always had just enough.

My Story....

About halfway through the year, I think it was around April I finally made my doctor aware that I was having a severely hard time staying awake while driving no matter what I did

Speaking Well of My Husband

First, I must give acknowledgement where it is due.

Thank you Time Warp Wife for your daily commitment. The topic I am writing about comes straight from her 31 days of prayer for your husband challenge and daily blog.

After I read this and even now I feel convicted. I am guilty of not singing achievements and more pointing out his faults. I am sorry to my husband for that. He is an excellent husband and best friend and he is just right for me! God is amazing in how he led us together!

In Proverbs 31 as is pointed out in the reading I did today it says "Her husband is known in the city gates, where he sits among elders in his land". Very literally for Phil this is true. He is known in our city politically and many speak well of him. I should be the loudest.

For lack of time and needing to get ready for work this post is going to be a short one but let me end in a few praises of my husband:

• He is a provider- He works and provides for us even when it is most trying to him.
• He is smart- He has an analytical mind which is very logical and see things from angles many cannot which provides him with a rare wisdom.
• He is Kind- Takes gentle care of me, our daughter, and our dog (Luke).
• He is silly and funny- He makes me step out of my shell, makes me laugh. Helps break me out of bad moods and loves me even more when I need it most and deserve it least.
• He is a Christian- He loves God first.
• He is my Best Friend- He knows me more than anyone in ways I don't even know myself.
• He is Patient- I am not always the easiest to get along with and our daughter follows in my footsteps with this at times.

Thank you Phil for everything you do. I could have continued but I see I must get ready for work.

Let's Talk About Prayer

I am a Christian. I love God, and He owns my heart. Yet, I notice I do not nearly spend enough time with Him. Prayer, so simple and it can be done at virtually any moment in our day yet I find my mind consumed and I don’t take the time out I should mentally to just talk to God.

He asks us to talk to Him, get to know Him and I continually feel I put Him on a shelf. It’s sad cause even in day to day life with my husband and daughter this happens between us all as well.

He wants our relationship with Him to be real like the ones with have with our family and friends but even closer. Deeper.
